OUR

MINISTRIES

Honoring God & Serving Others

There are many branches of ministries under the umbrella of Mena First Assembly of God. We can and do make a difference in the lives of those who serve in the ministry and in our community.

We all have a calling and we invite you to join us in serving others. There is a place for you.

The Children's Ministry exists to glorify God through evangelizing children and encouraging their parents so that the gospel is spread among our children, families are supported and uplifted, and the church is strengthened.

As our future generation, children hold a special place in the heart of Pastor Ron. From Sunday School to Children's Church, biblical principles are shared and taught from the smallest child in the nursery through twelve years of age in Children's Church.

Children are dismissed for Children's Church following the praise & worship each Sunday morning. Children's Church is a wonderful opportunity for children to celebrate their love for Christ.

During Children's Church, children are encouraged to take an active part in their special worship service. As an exciting of Sunday mornings, they enjoy songs, laughter, arts and crafts, memorizing Scriptures, and diving deeper into the Word of God.

The Chainbreakers Youth Ministry

The Chainbreakers Youth Ministry exists to help all youth know understand the truth according to the Word of God in a world full of deceit and lies. We meet weekly to share testimonies, hardships, and encourage one another.

Youth leader, Ronda Weiss, is committed to helping our youth with daily struggles they face as well as encourage a deeper walk with Christ. Through prayer, Scripture, and activities, they learn to become more Christ-like.

The Pure Gold senior ministry is enjoyed by those 55 years and older. This ministry is lead by Sandra Yates. There is never a dull moment when the seniors are around. They are sure to keep Pastor Ron on his toes!

From special monthly dinner meetings to visiting  shut-in or those in the nursing home, the Pure Gold group keeps active as they believe in sharing the love of Christ with those in our community.

Acts of Love Ministry

Acts of Love food pantry began in 2004 as a passion to minister to those in our community through a compassionate outreach.

Approximately thirty volunteers, share the heart of the ministry and the desire to show the love of Christ with those in our community who are facing a rough time in their life.

What began small has blossomed into a vast community focused ministry feeding approximately one thousand persons monthly. Acts of Love is the main distribution center in Mena and assists other local pantries in our community.

The monthly food distribution takes place the 2nd Thursday of each month from 1 p.m until 5:30. Emergency needs are also available.

Acts of Love will distribute with a drive-thru style distribution on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 5:30. All clients must have proper Photo ID and remain in their vehicle unless given direction otherwise.
